Authentication

Tldr: This section explains about authentication feature of vTual.

Getting Started​

Authentication refers to a series of actions related to access rights for accounts and the features associated with them.

There are several authentication actions available, including:

Register​

To start using the vTual service, both viewers and content creators must register first.

After completing the registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to verify your email address, which will grant you additional features on the platform.

However, you also have the option to skip the email verification if you choose not to complete that step.

By registering, you also agree to Terms and Privacy.

Login​

To fully utilize the majority of the features offered by vTual, you can start by accessing your account through the login page.

This will allow you to take advantage of all the functionalities available on the platform and enhance your overall experience, compared to being a guest.

Please note that currently, you can only login using the account you have registered before. The option to login with external accounts such as Gmail, Twitter, Facebook, etc. is not yet available in version 0.1.0.

Email Verification​

The link provided by the system for email verification is only valid for 30 minutes after you complete your registration. After this time, the link will expire and can no longer be used.

If you later decide to verify your email, you can request a new verification link through the "Resend Verification Code" menu. This option allows you to easily obtain a fresh link to complete the verification process at your convenience.

One of the benefits of verifying your email is that you can perform account recovery if you lose access due to a forgotten password.

Account Recovery​

There may be times when you lose access to your account due to a forgotten password.

To assist with this problem, we provide an authentication feature for account recovery to ensures that you can easily regain access to your account and continue using our services without hassle.

Reset Password​

If your account recovery request is approved, you will then be able to reset your password, which will serve as your new credentials.

This process allows you to regain access to your account securely and continue using the platform.
